Date Ideas for Gamers
Going Out?
Yes, you can game in public!
For a while, everyone thought arcades were going out of style. And to be honest, the traditional ones were at a point. But, luckily people were innovative and realized that gaming wasn’t going anywhere so they might as well bring the new-aged games to the lounge.
Hopefully, your city has adopted this trend. If so, you might see more bars/ shops/ lounges offering:
Games to play on Playstation, XBOX, Wii, and other consoles
Board games (new and old)
Card games and of course others such as Jenga.
Many people get together as a group, so whether you want to a local arcade together or with your friends, this is a great way to get out while still enjoying one of your favorite hobbies.
Other game activities you can do around town:
Escape rooms
Laser tag
Bowling alley (some include arcades of various sizes)
Various scavenger hunts (you can find these online specific to your city)
Gaming-focused conventions
Go shopping for games to play together back at home
Staying in?
If there happens to not be any locations of interest locally, perhaps the best thing to do is have a romantic and fun evening at home.
It might be best to find a game to play together that’s complementary to both of your experience levels.
Sometimes finding a new game to try together is easier, so that one person doesn’t have the responsibility of explaining the game to the other. For console and PC games, the “free” section on your game store page might have some easy and fun options.
Here are some games (some free, some not) that you both may enjoy depending on your interests. Keep in mind that some of these games are cross-platform available.
